KRUG EN CAPITALE, KRUG
For the third edition of "Krug en Capitale" - an artistic platform between prestigious Champagne house Krug and contemporary artists/musicians - Sébastien Léon was paired with thrice three-star chef Alain Ducasse to conceive a series of exceptional dining experiences at the mythical Plaza Athénée hotel in Paris.
The dinner started with a Cristal Baschet and lap steel guitar performance creating musical journey through vast American desert landscapes. Guests were were then invited to a dining room by Sébastien Léon with specially-designed seating and tables. The dinner, entirely composed by Alain Ducasse, underscored at every stage the rich notes of carefully picked Krug Champagnes.
Guests were then invited to the hotel rooftop where they discovered the Cariléon, a custom acoustic sculpture played by rare instrument specialist Loup Barrow, creating seamless melodies played by himself and the wind.
The “Krug en Capital” program continued with custom-packaging and limited-edition prints by Sébastien Léon.
Other musicians featured the “Krug en Capital” platform include Ryuichi Sakamoto, Jacky Terrasson, and Ozark Henry.
